Goldee and "Sweet Mary" Debut At # 2

GOLDEE AND “SWEET MARY” DEBUT AT #2 ON THE NEW MUSIC WEEKLY TOP 40 MOST ADDED RADIO CHART.

March 29, 2007 (Hammond, Louisiana) – Only two days after the official radio add date Goldee’s debut single “Sweet Mary” has hit the number two spot on the New Music Weekly Top 40 Most Added Radio Chart. This position places him above such well known artists as Avril Lavigne, Beyonce w/ Shakira, Carrie Underwood, Omarion, and Ne Yo. 

The song has also hit the New Music Weekly AC/HOT AC Charts where “Sweet Mary” stands at the #11 spot on the AC/HOT AC MOST ADDED RADIO CHART and is listed as one of the “UP AND COMING” tracks. Other songs on the “UP AND COMING” chart include Beyonce’s “Irreplaceable”, Justin Timberlake’s “What Goes Around Comes Around” and Christina Aguilera’s “Candyman” 

“Sweet Mary” is a song celebrating Goldee’s relationship with his mother, who died of cancer when Goldee was just 12 years old. “It’s an extremely personal song and I spit my heart out on that track” replied Goldee when asked about the lyrics. “To help capture emotion, the vocals were recorded on the anniversary of mom’s death”. Also featured on the song is Goldee’s longtime friend from the neighborhood, R&B singer Sammy Quinn, who was brought in to lend his smooth vocals to the cut. 

The track is the first single from the Goldee’s debut CD entitled “Hustle High, Hat Low” Clocking in at 74 minutes, the disc is a showcase of Goldee’s versatility and includes such fist pumping anthems as “Hustle High, Hat Low”, heavy gangsta tunes “Over Here” and “Real S***”, and danceable club tracks “I’m Stuntin’”, “Woah Nahh” and “We Don’t Give A F***.” Similar to the R&B-esque “Sweet Mary”, the track “Babygurl”, covers the sincere emotions of a man that just found out he is going to be a father.
